Want DM events?

Event ideas/interest

Fair? Scavenger hunt? PvP? Puzzles? Ideas?

I'm not asking for area ideas, but rather things DM's can run on the fly with minimal prep.

You/we have alreday an inherited hostility between surfae and underdark. Why not let a drow slaver party enter the surface and grab a player or an important NPC, dragging her/him deep down and forcing the surfacers to gather a posse and try to recover the person.

That would give you a lot of room to let the story unfold in and could be a nice quest for level 15-20 chars. I'm so seldom in Underdark so I tend to forget what it looks like down there.
