Creature of Madness and magic, this god seeks to turn all that lives into his own undead servants under the control of his priests and avatars. Any time a priest or wizard raises the dead into their undead service, they unwittingly draw on the power of this god, and come under his watchful gaze. He counts both wizards and priests in his service, and is always on the lookout for the next one that will become strong enough to raise an army of the undead and war on all life once again. Temples to him are dark, bloody places where an endless stream of prisoners are brought to the altar to be sacrificed and raised as zombies, skeletons, and other soulless undead under his priests’ control.

Paragor seeks to replace all the noise of the material plain with the peace and quiet of his undead minions. Paragor believes that all forms of life are merely hindrances to the pursuit of magical knowledge and power. He sees the undead as the purest form of existence, creatures that have existence without the messiness of life, the desires of the flesh or the restrictions of a conscience, akin to his own status as a god. He loves the lesser forms for their simple single mindedness; they are easily controlled, easily used to do the bidding of his agents and to gather knowledge and power. He equally loves the higher form, liches and vampires as creatures of intellect; creatures that have no soul or conscience to mar their intent or actions.

Paragor eternally tries to gather more power to raise undead in his quest to cleanse the material plain. This quest has brought him into conflict with every other god in the pantheon at one time or another as he attempts to use the undead forces at his control to gain power at the expense of the other gods. He has suffered several humiliating defeats at the hands of Serena, whose healing powers are the bane of his legions. In addition In’eth Xa’s creatures of flame drove back his forces as well, and in turn assaulted Paragor’s domains in retaliation, destroying many of his temples and hiding places throughout the lands through fire, flood and earthquake. Each defeat has done nothing but strengthen Paragor’s madness, he is convinced that all the other gods are abominations that need to be destroyed so he may harness their power and knowledge. Paragor’s greatest obsession is with the dual god Wo’ren/Wo’raeth, Paragor craves the celestial god’s position and all the knowledge he’s sure comes with it. Paragor believes that he is the only one that has the right to the divine knowledge of the realms that Wo’ren displays. The addition of the refugees to the realms under his watchful gaze reinforced his resolve. These creatures give him more opportunities to turn those seekers of knowledge toward his followers. He manipulates many unwittingly, tempting them with the secrets of necromancy and the power over life and death and ensnaring them to his command when they have discovered the might of undeath and have begin drawing directly from Paragor’s influence and power.

There are no organized temples to Paragor, all places of worship are hidden wherever they may find the space to conduct the rituals that bring the dead into their service. Those who have fallen unwittingly into Paragor’s influence are kidnapped and taken to these places where they are killed and raised again in the form of intelligent creatures of undeath, vampires and mummies. These forms retain their magical abilities and strength but can be controlled by the willing priests in Paragor’s service. In this way these controlled undead can be used to produce even more undead; strengthening the army in a controllable, pyramid style with Paragor’s priests in control. Those that voluntarily enter Paragor’s service may eventually learn the secrets to become one of the greater creatures of the undead. These chosen become liches, their free will intact and their power strengthened, their ability to control Paragor’s undead forces increased tenfold, all in the quest to bring the eternal silence to the material world.

Worshippers of Paragor are those that are attracted to the quick power and knowledge that can be gained from contracts with the undead. Often times they do not understand what they are getting into, and end up enslaved by the stronger priests in the temple, or even directly under control of Paragor himself. Whether enslaved, or the slaver, inevitably these worshippers become more obsessed with the power, and the dead. The nature of this communion of death and enslavement draws followers of Paragor to Chaotic Evil, even when they start at a less extreme alignment.
