Re: Common Courtesy On Nordock
Can we at least get some compromise? One big pet peeve I hate is the lame "auto-fear" script a lot of animal types have. Somehow they mystically metagame your level, get feared and run the length of the area away from you. I loathe chasing them down and spawning 5 more meaningless encounte...

Re: Common Courtesy On Nordock
Most of these would be nullified by simply adding a despawning script. I don't know why we don't have one.

Re: Duergar spell resistance?
Well, I'd play a dug over a normal dwarf if I were wanting pure mechanics, at least.
But yeah, drow and svirfneblin are kind of "master race"-ish if we're talking mechanics.

Re: Duergar spell resistance?
I think you are confusing Duergar for Svirfneblin (gnomes), Narisus. In D&D and standard Nordock modules only Drow and Svirfneblin get racial SR. Duergar are more or less just evil underdark dwarves with a couple of racial immunities.

Re: Want new and shiny stuff in Nordock?
Not having haks meant something in the world of dial-up being majority and something like downloading CEP taking 14 hours of game time. Those days are no longer. CEP is nice to help your character look like how you envision them. ACP is fantastic to keep you from falling asleep mid-fight. Etc. Yes, ...

Re: Time to stop... Time Stop!
Oh, it goes all the way up to Fallen Druid even. I'm not against high level spawns by any means at all! However... one must keep in mind that this is an area that's *not* a dungeon or any such thing. It's a rather lackluster "passing through" transitory area - and one that's quite literall...

Re: Time to stop... Time Stop!
In first and second ed D&D, liches are indeed very special, unique and powerful foes. Unfortunately in 3rd ed, they literally became a generic template for a "type" of undead. Liches in 3rd ed show up a lot, even low level liches such as level 7s aren't that uncommon (eugh). I'm not ag...

Thank you, Valikar for your setup and effort tonight! I wasn't expecting to see all that when I stepped out of Benzor, but it was good fun! I don't think Tukson wants to see a dwarf ever again. Good fun! Hah!

Time to stop... Time Stop!
This is my singular most hated pet peeve... Time Stop stopping the entire server. So many servers have altered Time Stop to only affect the area it's cast in (without haks, mind). We need to do this. As a guy who plays level 30s+ constantly, these liches who blow Time Stops immediately onsight spawn...
